Privacy Policy

The short version: Orvix Grid collects only what it needs to sign you in and to run the features you choose to use. There are no ads, no tracking and no analytics, and we never sell your data.
Who we are
Orvix Grid is a free, unofficial companion app for Star Citizen made by an independent developer. Contact: orbixgridadmin@gmail.com.
What we collect
Your account. When you create an account we store your email address, or, if you sign in with Apple, Google or Discord, the account ID, name and email that provider shares with us. We use this only to sign you in.
Crews (only if you use them). If you create or join a crew, we store the crew's details, the name you use in that crew, your role, the ops you post or join, the seats you take, your comments, your needs-board posts and, if you choose to share it, your fleet (ship names and counts only). Only members of that crew can see this. If you report or block a player, we keep that report or block; reports are only visible to the Orvix Grid team, and blocks only to you.
Community timer syncs. When you sync an in-game timer while signed in, we store that timer time with your account ID so other players can see how many players agree on it. Other players see only the time and a player count, never who shared it.
What stays on your phone
Your fleet, loadouts, refinery jobs, favorites, settings and alerts are saved on your device. Reminders and alerts are scheduled on your device; we don't collect push notification tokens.
RSI hangar import. When you connect your RSI account, the app opens the Roberts Space Industries website in an in-app browser. You sign in on RSI's own site; Orvix Grid never sees or stores your RSI password. The app reads your pledge list on your device to import ship names, and that list stays on your phone.
Services we use
- Supabase hosts our database and sign-in.
- Expo delivers app updates. Update checks include basic app and device information, such as app version and platform.
- Apple, Google and Discord handle sign-in if you choose them. Their own privacy policies apply.
- UEX and the Star Citizen Wiki provide public game data such as prices, ships and items. These requests don't include your personal information.
What we don't do
- No advertising and no ad tracking.
- No analytics or tracking tools.
- We don't sell or share your personal data with anyone.
- We don't access your location, contacts, photos, camera or microphone.
Keeping and deleting your data
We keep your account data until you delete it. You can delete your account any time in the app: Settings → Account → Delete account. This permanently removes your account, crew memberships, comments, sign-ups, needs posts, reports you filed, blocks and timer syncs, and erases the app data saved on that phone. Ops you posted stay with your crew without your name. If you lead a crew, leadership passes to another member; a crew with no members left is deleted.
You can also email orbixgridadmin@gmail.com to ask for a copy of your data or for deletion.
Children
Orvix Grid is not directed at children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect data from them. If you believe a child has created an account, contact us and we will delete it.
Changes
If this policy changes, we'll update this page and the date above. Significant changes will also be noted in the app.
